CAIT’s National Digital Nagrik Forum to Digitalise Traders and Consumers Explained

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has introduced the National Digital Nagrik Forum, an online platform aimed at advocating for the rights of traders, consumers, and society in the digital economy. CAIT plans to convene a two-day National Traders Conference in Raipur on August 24-25, 2024, to discuss the forum’s strategy and other important matters. The initiative aligns with the vision of ‘Digital India’ and aims to contribute to making India a $1 trillion digital economy.

CAIT intends to involve stakeholders from various sectors, including corporate and non-corporate sectors, MSMEs, farmers, experts, and technocrats, within the Forum. They have also appealed for an early rollout of the E-commerce policy and E-commerce Rules under the Consumer Protection Act and addressed concerns regarding challenges faced by traders competing with foreign e-commerce companies.
