Pidilite Industries, the maker of household adhesive giant Fevicol and a key player in construction chemicals, has announced a major leadership transition set to take place in April 2025. Bharat Puri, who has led the company as Managing Director for a decade, will step down from the role, making way for Sudhanshu Vats, the current Deputy Managing Director, to assume the top post.
The announcement marks the beginning of a new chapter for the company, which has grown significantly under Puri’s stewardship. Joining Pidilite as an Independent Director in 2008, Puri took over as Managing Director in 2015, steering the company through phases of robust brand strengthening, market expansion, and product innovation. His leadership not only reinforced Pidilite’s dominance in adhesives and sealants but also positioned the company as a trusted name across consumer and industrial segments.
Sudhanshu Vats brings a rich portfolio of leadership experience to the role. Prior to joining Pidilite in 2021, he served as CEO and Managing Director at EPL Ltd, and earlier, as Group CEO and Managing Director of Viacom18 Media, where he played a key role in shaping the media company’s digital transformation. A veteran of Hindustan Unilever, Vats is known for his strategic thinking and consumer-focused approach—qualities seen as well-suited to lead Pidilite through its next phase of growth.
In addition, the company announced that Kavinder Singh will join the leadership team as Executive Director and Joint Managing Director (Designate). Singh, currently the Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India, previously held leadership positions at Asian Paints, ITC Ltd, and also Pidilite, giving him deep insight into the company’s culture and consumer base.
