CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) disaffiliated 21 schools in Delhi and Rajasthan. While there are six more schools in Delhi that are downgraded to Senior Secondary from Secondary level. Why CBSE did do so? The schools have faced these strict actions from CBSE after a series of surprise inspections. The central board keeps conducting these inspections to check the performance of the schools. Under this inspection, the board came to know several things that led to this decision.
Why CBSE Took Action Against 21 Schools In Delhi And Rajasthan?
CBSE took action against a total of 21 schools after the inspection on 3 September 2024, Sunday. According to CBSE’s notice, the action was based on the student’s attendance. According to them, the action was to maintain the educational standards of the board. Several schools remain strict with student’s attendance to promote them to the next classes. Such as 75% of attendance criteria are followed in many schools. However, these schools were said to be allowing dummies or non-attending students in Classes 9 to 12.
These classes play a crucial role in a school-going student. It is necessary to attend these classes regularly without allowing dummy attendance. These classes play an important role for students to choose their career. Considering its importance, CBSE decided to act upon this.
