On June 18, 2025, shooters fired 20-30 bullets from over 100 yards away at the ISKCON Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork, Utah. It has striking the dome, arches, windows, and walls. The attackers repeated the incident multiple times at night, targeting the same areas in the same manner.

Shooters fired rounds from outside the security fence, leaving shell casings on the road. Surveillance footage reveals a bullet hole in the hand-carved arches and an entry point through a window into the worship room. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the incident left volunteers and worshippers shaken and scared. One intern departed the temple due to safety concerns.

Witnesses describe the incident as a planned, hate-based attack rather than random vandalism. In response, authorities have implemented tighter security measures, including nighttime guards, improved lighting, taller fencing, additional cameras, and a surveillance truck courtesy of Gard. The authorities have also announced a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators.

INVESTIGATION AND OFFICIAL REACTION: 

The Utah County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation, increasing patrols in various areas for security purposes. ISKCON officials confirm that 20-30 shots were fired while worshippers were present. Incident resulting in thousands of dollars worth of damage, including destruction of the sacred architecture.
