New Delhi, November 10, 2025:

The Department of Fertilizers (DoF), along with its attached offices and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), has successfully concluded the Special Campaign 5.0 held from October 2 to 31, 2025. The campaign focused on promoting Swachhata (cleanliness) and reducing administrative pendency in line with the Government’s broader efficiency and transparency goals.
During the campaign, the Department achieved notable progress in streamlining operations, clearing outdated files, and disposing of scrap materials. In total, 4,595 physical files were reviewed, with 1,376 files weeded out as per the official Record Retention Schedule. Simultaneously, 4,663 e-files were reviewed, and 3,900 were successfully closed, demonstrating a major digital housekeeping effort.
A highlight of the campaign was the generation of over ₹6.49 crore in revenue through the disposal of obsolete items and scrap materials. The initiative also freed up approximately 1,50,444 sq. ft. of office space, significantly improving workplace efficiency and resource utilization.
The DoF and its PSUs also placed strong emphasis on public engagement and awareness. Over 36 official posts were shared across platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram, showcasing best practices, progress updates, and employee participation under the Swachhata Special Campaign 5.0.
Progress was tracked in real time through the dedicated portal www.scdpm.gov.in, managed by DARPG, where the Department consistently updated achievements and milestones throughout the campaign.
Officials noted that the successful completion of Special Campaign 5.0 reflects the Government’s ongoing push toward better governance, transparency, and a more efficient administrative ecosystem. The DoF’s proactive role has set a benchmark for other departments in institutionalizing cleanliness, sustainability, and systematic record management.
