New Delhi: IndiGo has announced a sharp rebound in operations, with the airline set to operate over 1,500 flights by the end of the day—more than double the number flown a day earlier—after a sweeping reset of its network, systems and crew rosters. The update was shared through a press statement filed with stock exchanges under SEBI’s disclosure norms.
The carrier said it had operated “a little above 700 flights” yesterday across 113 destinations as part of an intensive reboot designed to stabilise schedules following massive disruptions. Today, the airline has restored 95% of its network, operating to 135 out of its 138 destinations, signalling early signs of operational normalisation.
IndiGo acknowledged that despite improving numbers, it still has “a long way to go” before full recovery, adding that its focus remains on rebuilding customer trust. The airline thanked government agencies, airports, and other partners for their support, and expressed gratitude to passengers and staff for their patience. “We apologise once again,” the statement added.
