The company clarified that the ED’s allegations have not yet undergone judicial scrutiny, and no wrongdoing has been established against Reliance Power or its officials. It said the filing of the complaint “does not affect the affairs of the company in any manner,” adding that it will have the full opportunity to present its case before cognizance is taken.

Reliance Power reiterated that it had itself lodged a criminal complaint with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police on October 16, 2024, against the third parties who arranged the SECI bank guarantee. An FIR was registered on November 11, 2024, on the basis of this complaint. ED’s investigation was initiated subsequently.

The company emphasised that it acted bona fide at all stages and will pursue all legally advised steps to safeguard the interests of its stakeholders. It added that its operations continue normally, and it remains fully committed to growth, operational excellence, and value creation for its over 43 lakh shareholders.
