New Delhi: HCL Technologies Ltd on Wednesday said it has been selected as a strategic technology partner by ASN Bank, the fourth-largest retail bank in the Netherlands, to support its digital transformation and improve customer experience.

In a regulatory filing, HCLTech said the engagement is part of ASN Bank’s new ‘Simplify and Grow’ strategy aimed at modernising and standardising its IT architecture.
Under the multi-year agreement, HCLTech will support ASN Bank’s enterprise applications and help consolidate IT services while simplifying the vendor landscape. The technology services firm will deploy a distributed delivery model to drive operational efficiency, automation and improved service delivery, the company said.
ASN Bank, formerly known as de Volksbank, is seeking to streamline its product portfolio and align underlying processes and systems as it transitions to a future-ready operating model.
The bank currently serves about three million customers, making it the fourth-largest retail lender in the Dutch market.
For HCLTech, the deal strengthens its presence in the European banking and financial services segment, particularly in the Netherlands.
The company said the engagement aligns with its focus on delivering domain-led, scalable digital and engineering solutions to global financial institutions.
HCLTech added that the partnership is expected to deliver long-term value by supporting ASN Bank’s efforts to standardise and automate systems while enhancing customer experie nce.
