The products have been commercialised in a dedicated production block, with operations starting on December 18, 2025. The company said the move will position Clean Science as a key domestic manufacturer of hydroquinone and catechol, supporting import substitution and improving supply security for downstream users.

With the launch of hydroquinone, Clean Science expects to enhance its performance chemicals portfolio, creating cross-selling opportunities with existing MEHQ customers and further strengthening its TBHQ market share. Catechol, meanwhile, will be captively consumed for the manufacture of downstream products such as guaiacol and veratrole, aiding backward integration.

The company said the commercialisation of these functionally critical specialty chemicals highlights its in-house R&D strength, supported by integrated project engineering capabilities, enabling faster scale-up from development to production.

Clean Science operates across specialty chemicals used in pharmaceuticals, food additives, personal care and performance applications, with a strategy focused on high-value, import-substituting molec ules.
