New Delhi: Indigo Paints on Thursday said it has received a demand order of ₹3.86 crore from the Office of the Commissioner of Central Goods and Services Tax, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, relating to alleged short payment of tax during the period from 2018 to 2023.

In a regulatory filing, the paints maker said the demand includes interest and penalty and has been raised on account of an alleged dispute over incorrect availment of input tax credit (ITC) and non-payment of interest due to delayed filing of returns. The order was received by the company on December 17, 2025.
Indigo Paints said there is no immediate impact on its financial, operational or other activities, as it is in the process of filing an appeal before the Commissioner (Appeals), Central GST, Ahmedabad.
