The channel, developed in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, will be available across all Airtel set-top boxes—connected Xstream and IPTV devices as well as non-connected HD and SD boxes—without requiring any additional equipment. Priced at ₹59 per month, the channel will be offered in both English and Hindi and will be accessible on Channel 445.

Airtel said the curated channel is aimed at audiences who grew up watching classic Cartoon Network shows, while also enabling families to introduce younger viewers to globally popular animated franchises from the 1990s and early 2000s. The move aligns with the company’s broader strategy of differentiating its DTH and IPTV services through exclusive, family-friendly content amid rising competition from OTT platforms.

“Airtel Cartoon Network Classics adds a unique entertainment layer to our portfolio and offers customers a chance to reconnect with iconic stories and characters that are loved even today,” said Pushpinder Singh Gujral, DTH Business Head at Airtel, adding that the channel will be available to all DTH and IPTV users.

Warner Bros. Discovery said the partnership would help keep its legacy animated content accessible and relevant for Indian audiences. “Through our collaboration with Airtel, we are pleased to bring these iconic favourites to Indian screens in a new and accessible format,” said Arjun Nohwar, Managing Director, South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery.

Subscribers can activate the channel through their set-top box, via a missed call, or using the Airtel Thanks app, the company said. The launch adds to Airtel’s growing portfolio of bundled entertainment and digital services as it looks to increase stickiness among its over 500 million customers across India and Africa.
