New Delhi: Bartronics India Ltd on Tuesday said it will enter into a long-term service level agreement (SLA) with Maharashtra Gramin Bank to strengthen and expand the bank’s rural banking and customer outreach network across its operational regions. The agreement builds on a seven-year association between the two entities and reflects the bank’s continued confidence in Bartronics’ execution and operational capabilities.

Under the proposed SLA, Bartronics plans to scale the banking correspondent network from around 350 touchpoints to nearly 600 in a phased manner, with a focus on deepening last-mile banking penetration in rural Maharashtra. The expansion will include the addition of about 250 new customer service points (CSPs) and is expected to generate cumulative revenues of approximately ₹30 crore over the next five years, subject to transaction volumes and service adoption.

The company currently manages close to 350 banking touchpoints for Maharashtra Gramin Bank, supporting account opening, transaction-led engagement, and enrolment under social security and government benefit schemes through its on-ground correspondent network. The renewed engagement provides a structured framework for further expansion of these services.

Bartronics said the expansion programme is also expected to create employment opportunities through the onboarding of local CSP agents, supervisors and field-level support staff, contributing to entrepreneurship and livelihood creation in rural and semi-urban areas.

Commenting on the development, N. Vidhya Sagar Reddy, managing director of Bartronics India, said the expanded mandate reflects the bank’s confidence in the company’s operational strength and field execution capabilities. He added that the focus would remain on delivering secure, technology-enabled banking services while creating measurable social impact across rural Maharashtra.
