Under the partnership, TCS and AMD will jointly develop industry-specific AI and generative AI solutions by combining TCS’s domain expertise and systems integration capabilities with AMD’s high-performance computing and AI product portfolio. The collaboration will focus on modernising legacy environments, hybrid cloud and edge infrastructure, and enabling AI-powered digital workplaces.

As part of the agreement, TCS will rapidly upskill and certify its workforce on AMD’s hardware and software platforms, while the two companies will jointly invest in building talent and co-innovating next-generation AI solutions. Industry-specific GenAI frameworks are planned for sectors such as life sciences, manufacturing and banking and financial services, covering areas including drug discovery, smart manufacturing and intelligent risk management.

TCS will leverage AMD’s Ryzen CPUs for workplace transformation initiatives, while deploying AMD EPYC processors, Instinct GPUs and AI accelerators to modernise hybrid cloud and high-performance computing environments. AMD’s embedded computing portfolio, including adaptive system-on-chips and FPGAs, will also be used to support edge and industrial digitalisation use cases.

“Our collaboration with AMD is a significant step in scaling AI for the enterprise. By combining TCS’s deep industry expertise with AMD’s high-performance computing capabilities, we are enabling organisations to move from AI experimentation to AI at scale,” said K Krithivasan, CEO and managing director of TCS.

AMD chair and CEO Lisa Su said the partnership would help enterprises translate AI innovation into tangible growth opportunities by building an open, end-to-end compute foundation for AI across industries.

The tie-up underscores TCS’s push to position itself as an AI-led technology services provider, as global IT services firms race to deepen partnerships with semiconductor and cloud players to capitalise on rising enterprise spending on AI and data-driven transformation.
