Under the expanded agreement, Team Global Express will consolidate its multi-vendor IT landscape into a single strategic partnership with HCLTech, which will act as a trusted technology advisor. The mandate covers end-to-end managed IT services spanning applications, hybrid cloud infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, digital workplace and service management, the company said on Tuesday.

A key pillar of the engagement will be HCLTech’s AI Force platform, a GenAI-driven solution designed to automate service operations, strengthen compliance and enhance customer experience across the logistics major’s network in Australia and New Zealand. The move reflects a broader trend among logistics and supply chain players to deploy artificial intelligence for real-time decision-making and operational resilience.

“We are delighted to onboard HCLTech as our strategic technology partner,” said Danny Gravell, chief innovation officer at Team Global Express, adding that the company’s domain expertise and focus on operational excellence would help modernise its IT backbone and improve service delivery across the region.

For HCLTech, the deal reinforces its positioning as a global partner for enterprise-scale digital transformation, particularly in capital-intensive sectors such as logistics. Sonia Eland, executive vice-president and country manager for Australia and New Zealand at HCLTech, said the partnership marked a significant milestone for the company in the region and would help the client accelerate transformation and create long-term value through AI and automation.

The expanded engagement comes at a time when global IT services firms are sharpening their focus on fewer, deeper client relationships, moving beyond traditional outsourcing to outcome-linked, platform-led deals. For Team Global Express, simplifying its IT vendor ecosystem is expected to reduce operational friction and improve agility in a highly competitive logistics market.

HCLTech, which ended December 2025 with consolidated revenues of $14.5 billion, has been steadily building scale in the ANZ region, leveraging demand for cloud, AI and engineering-led services across industries. The latest partnership underlines how AI is fast becoming central to large transformation contracts, particularly in sectors where efficiency, compliance and customer experience are critical differentiators.
