New Delhi: Tata Technologies on Friday announced the winners of the third edition of its flagship engineering innovation hackathon, InnoVent 2026, underscoring its push to build future-ready engineering talent aligned with next-generation mobility and manufacturing needs.

The event, supported by Amazon Web Services, drew participation from over 10,000 engineering students across 404 colleges in 28 states, resulting in more than 2,800 innovation-led projects addressing real-world challenges in the automotive and manufacturing sectors.
The top three teams were awarded cash prizes totalling ₹4.5 lakh, while all 42 finalists who participated in the Demo Day were offered career opportunities at Tata Technologies. The company said the initiative reinforces its focus on bridging academia and industry by nurturing practical, industry-relevant skills among young engineers.
The winning project, developed by Team Drushti from CMR College of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad, focused on intelligent customisation of vehicle infotainment systems for visually impaired drivers. Teams from Vellore Institute of Technology and the International Institute of Information Technology, Pune, secured the second and third prizes respectively.
InnoVent 2026 culminated at Tata Technologies’ Pune campus, where finalists showcased their prototypes before a jury comprising senior industry leaders, including executives from Tata Technologies, Jaguar Land Rover, Air India and ES-Tec Group. A humanoid robot co-host anchored the event, highlighting the growing convergence of artificial intelligence and engineering innovation.
