Mumbai: Wipro Ltd on Tuesday announced a strategic partnership with Factory, an agent-native software development platform, to accelerate the adoption of AI-driven software engineering across global enterprises. As part of the collaboration, Wipro Ventures, the company’s corporate investment arm, has also participated in Factory’s recent funding round.

Under the partnership, Wipro will integrate Factory’s agent-native capabilities into its WEGA delivery platform, strengthening Wipro Intelligence, its unified suite of AI-powered platforms and solutions. The rollout is expected to cover tens of thousands of Wipro engineers, enabling faster creation of production-ready code, improved code quality and shorter innovation cycles for clients.

Factory’s platform allows engineering teams to delegate substantial parts of the software development lifecycle — including feature development, refactoring, migrations and testing — to AI agents, referred to as Droids, while maintaining architectural consistency and engineering standards. Wipro said it will offer Factory-enabled solutions to clients across sectors such as banking and financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and technology.

“AI is reshaping how software is built across the enterprise,” said Sandhya Arun, Chief Technology Officer at Wipro, adding that the partnership reflects a broader shift among global enterprises from AI experimentation to production-scale adoption.

From an investment perspective, Wipro Ventures said the funding participation reinforces its focus on backing enterprise-grade AI platforms that can be deployed securely at scale. “Enterprises are under immense pressure to innovate faster while maintaining quality and security,” said Ali Wasti, Managing Partner, Wipro Ventures.

For Factory, the tie-up provides access to Wipro’s global client base and large engineering workforce. “Wipro’s enterprise relationships and engineering capabilities, combined with Factory’s AI-native development platform, create a powerful foundation for improving software delivery performance,” said Matan Grinberg, co-founder and CEO of Factory.

The partnership signals Wipro’s intent to deepen its AI-led services strategy at a time when global IT services firms are racing to move beyond pilot projects and embed autonomous AI capabilities into core enterprise workflows.
