Mumbai: Saregama India on Friday said it has completed the acquisition of securities in Bhansali Productions Private Limited, marking the close of a transaction first announced in December. The company subscribed to 9,960 compulsory convertible preference shares (CCPS) of face value ₹10 each for a consideration of ₹325 crore, according to a regulatory filing.

The investment gives Saregama a small minority stake in the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali-led production house, in line with the terms outlined in the earlier investment agreement. The company said the subscription was completed on January 30, 2026, and the disclosures required under SEBI’s listing regulations had already been made with the December intimation.

While Saregama did not spell out fresh financial details on conversion timelines in the update, the deal underscores the company’s push to build a stronger pipeline of premium, IP-led content and deepen its presence in films and allied media. For Bhansali Productions, the capital provides additional firepower to scale up big-ticket projects.

The company said the information has been placed on its website and shared with both BSE and NSE in compliance with Regulation 30 of SEBI’s listing norms.
