London: Volvo Car UK Ltd has renewed its collaboration with BASF Coatings UK Ltd for an additional three years, underscoring a long-standing supply relationship that supports vehicle repair quality across the United Kingdom.
Under the updated agreement, BASF will continue to supply its premium paint brands Glasurit and R-M to all 78 approved Volvo body repair centres in the UK. The brands are widely used for automotive refinishing and are distributed through BASF’s existing channels.
The arrangement is not limited to paint supply. Volvo’s approved bodyshops will also receive technical support and training from BASF, enabling technicians to carry out repairs that meet the carmaker’s exacting standards. According to a company statement, the additional training will help ensure consistent refinish quality and support bodyshop preparedness as vehicle designs and materials evolve.
Rob Deane, Commercial Operations Director at Volvo Car UK, said the renewal reflects the value the company places on BASF’s expertise and solutions in the refinish space. BASF’s Managing Director for the UK, Sally Jones, added that both companies share a commitment to quality, sustainability and innovation within the automotive aftermarket.
Volvo’s Approved Bodyshop Network is spread across the UK in proximity to the brand’s retail footprint, offering repair and refinishing services to customers under consistent standards. The extended partnership with BASF is expected to support a seamless customer experience for owners requiring paint repair after collisions or minor damage.
The three-year renewal points to a continued focus on quality and technical alignment between OEMs and their aftermarket suppliers in a rapidly changing automotive landscape.
