New Delhi: Bajaj Auto on Tuesday reported a robust 25% year-on-year increase in total sales for January 2026 at 4,77,422 units, driven by healthy growth across both two-wheelers and commercial vehicles, as well as a broad-based recovery in domestic and export markets.Source: InternetAccording to the company’s filing with the stock exchanges, two-wheeler sales rose 24% to 4,06,295 units in January, compared with 3,28,413 units in the same month last year. Domestic two-wheeler dispatches climbed 25% to 2,14,727 units, while exports grew 22% to 1,91,568 units, underscoring sustained overseas demand for the company’s motorcycles and scooters.The commercial vehicles (CV) segment outperformed, posting a 35% jump to 71,127 units in January 2026. Domestic CV sales increased 27% to 47,248 units, while exports surged 53% to 23,879 units, highlighting a sharp rebound in international markets.Overall, domestic sales across two-wheelers and CVs rose 26% to 2,61,975 units, while exports increased 25% to 2,15,447 units, taking total volumes to 4.77 lakh units for the month.On a year-to-date basis (April–January), Bajaj Auto reported total sales of 42.24 lakh units, up 8% from 39.29 lakh units a year earlier. While domestic volumes were largely flat at 23.69 lakh units, exports grew 20% to 18.55 lakh units, providing the bulk of the growth. Two-wheeler exports rose 16% and commercial vehicle exports jumped 53% during the period, reflecting improving demand conditions in key overseas markets.The strong January performance comes amid easing supply constraints and a gradual pickup in demand across key regions, with exports continuing to be a key growth driver for the Pune-based auto major.
