New Delhi: Bharat Forge Limited on Tuesday announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VVDN Technologies to explore strategic collaboration across automotive, defence, artificial intelligence (AI), and data centre segments.

The partnership aims to jointly pursue opportunities in next-generation technologies, combining Bharat Forge’s expertise in advanced manufacturing and precision engineering with VVDN’s strengths in electronics design, embedded systems, software development, and system integration.
The companies said the collaboration will focus on co-developing scalable, high-impact solutions aligned with evolving global industry requirements, particularly in AI-driven and defence-oriented platforms.
Expanding into AI and Data Infrastructure
The MoU outlines plans to explore joint development of products for automotive platforms, defence systems and AI server infrastructure. With global demand for generative AI, autonomous systems and sustainable compute accelerating, both firms are positioning themselves to tap emerging opportunities in high-performance computing and digital infrastructure.
Tthe move is a part of a broader shift among Indian industrial conglomerates toward higher-value technology-led manufacturing and AI-integrated solutions.
Strategic Diversification
Bharat Forge, one of the world’s largest forging companies, has been steadily expanding beyond traditional automotive components into defence, aerospace and renewable energy. The collaboration with VVDN strengthens its technology integration capabilities, particularly in electronics-heavy and AI-driven applications.
VVDN, headquartered in Gurugram, operates as an original design manufacturer (ODM) with capabilities spanning 5G, networking, automotive electronics, IoT and AI/ML systems. The alliance could allow both companies to accelerate development cycles and reduce time-to-market for advanced industrial solutions.
Management Commentary
Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director of Bharat Forge, said the partnership would help leverage advanced technologies and create a robust ecosystem for innovation and long-term value creation.
Puneet Agarwal, CEO of VVDN Technologies, said the collaboration aligns with the company’s vision of driving innovation through advanced engineering and digital technologies, particularly across automotive, defence and data centre ecosystems.
The agreement comes amid rising geopolitical focus on defence indigenisation, AI infrastructure buildout, and domestic electronics manufacturing under policy initiatives such as Make in India and digital infrastructure expansion.
For Bharat Forge, the tie-up underscores its transition from a traditional forging major to a diversified engineering conglomerate with exposure to high-growth technology verticals. For VVDN, it strengthens access to industrial-scale manufacturing and global supply chains.
