CAIT's National Digital Nagrik Forum to Digitalise Traders and Consumers Explained

CAIT plans to convene a two-day National Traders Conference in Raipur on August 24-25, 2024, to discuss the forum’s strategy and other important matters. The initiative aligns with the vision of ‘Digital India’ and aims to contribute to making India a $1 trillion digital economy.

CAIT intends to involve stakeholders from various sectors, including corporate and non-corporate sectors, MSMEs, farmers, experts, and technocrats, within the Forum. They have also appealed for an early rollout of the E-commerce policy and E-commerce Rules under the Consumer Protection Act and addressed concerns regarding challenges faced by traders competing with foreign e-commerce companies.

The launch of the National Digital Nagrik Forum by CAIT represents a crucial milestone in promoting digital literacy for MSMEs and fostering an inclusive, competitive, and secure digital economy. By prioritizing consumer protection, addressing the challenges of digital cartelisation, and exploring the potential of emerging technologies, the Forum shows its commitment to creating a level playing field and ensuring a prosperous future for retail and industrial trade.

As CAIT rallies stakeholders from various sectors and advocates for a fair and transparent digital ecosystem, it aligns with the government’s vision of ‘Digital India’ and contributes to the path of becoming a $1 trillion digital economy. With the Forum’s initiatives, CAIT takes a bold stride towards shaping policy discourse and fostering sustainable growth in the digital era.
