Exicom Tele-Systems Limited, a leading provider of energy-storage and EV-charging solutions, has confirmed that officials from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Delhi Zonal Unit, conducted a search at its corporate and manufacturing facilities in Gurugram on October 29, 2025.
The visit was part of an inquiry into the classification of goods imported by the company. In its filing to stock exchanges, Exicom stated that it extended full cooperation to the authorities, providing all requested documents and clarifications.
Importantly, the company asserted that the proceedings have no impact on its business operations, financial performance, or day-to-day functioning, which remain “normal and fully operational.”
Exicom further disclosed that it has obtained an independent legal opinion confirming that the import classifications under scrutiny are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The company’s management reassured stakeholders that it will continue to assist DRI and provide any additional information required.
In an official statement, Company Secretary Sangeeta Karnatak emphasized Exicom’s commitment to the highest standards of transparency, compliance, and corporate governance.
The market’s response has been measured, with investors recognizing Exicom’s proactive communication as a sign of responsible management. Analysts note that such regulatory checks are not uncommon in sectors with high import dependence and complex supply chains, especially given the government’s tightening oversight on customs and import duty compliance.
Founded in 1994, Exicom has emerged as a significant player in India’s EV-charging and stationary battery segment, contributing to the nation’s clean-energy transition. The company’s robust business fundamentals, diversified portfolio, and public-market credibility are expected to mitigate any short-term uncertainty.
As India accelerates its EV adoption and energy-storage targets, companies like Exicom remain central to building resilient domestic supply chains. The management’s transparent handling of the DRI inquiry underscores the maturity and governance focus now defining India’s next generation of clean-tech manufacturers.
