New Delhi: The FASTag Annual Pass has achieved a remarkable milestone, crossing twenty-five lakh users in just two months since its launch, with approximately 5.67 crore transactions recorded across the country, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) announced today.
Introduced on 15th August 2025, the FASTag Annual Pass is designed to provide seamless and economical travel for National Highway users. The pass is applicable at around 1,150 toll plazas on National Highways and National Expressways, eliminating the need for frequent FASTag recharges.
Under the scheme, users pay a one-time fee of ₹3,000 for a one-year validity or 200 toll plaza crossings, applicable for all non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag. Once payment is made via the Rajmargyatra App or NHAI website, the annual pass is activated within two hours on the existing FASTag linked to the vehicle.
The FASTag Annual Pass is non-transferable and can be used at National Highway and National Expressway toll plazas. For tolls on Expressways, State Highways managed by State Governments, or local bodies, payments will be deducted from the existing FASTag wallet balance, enabling smooth travel across diverse routes.
The rapid adoption of the FASTag Annual Pass demonstrates strong user acceptance and reflects NHAI’s commitment to enhancing ease of commuting, safety, and a seamless travel experience on India’s National Highways.
