The Ministry of Electronics & IT has announced that the Research Symposium at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 has seen an overwhelming response, drawing over 250 submissions from the international research community.

The symposium, set to take place on February 18, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, is designed to act as a vital link between academic research and real-world governance. Organizers aim to move AI beyond theoretical frameworks and into the hands of decision-makers to support responsible adoption across various sectors.
The event will feature a diverse array of presentations, including:
30 selected posters under the Global South Poster Track.
15 showcases from the India Forum.
15 student-led research presentations.
The forum is specifically conceived to be interdisciplinary, bringing together practitioners from India and the Global South to exchange methods and evidence on AI’s impact. Key discussion themes include:

Safety & Trust: Addressing the ethical implications and reliability of AI systems.
