In a regulatory filing, the company said it had earlier filed a first information report (FIR) in August 2025 against a former employee for non-compliance with standard operating processes. A separate FIR was lodged in November 2025 after the company identified a loss of around ₹8 crore due to a shortage of certain raw materials, which it suspects may have been stolen during transit from the port to the Valia factory.

Godrej Industries said police investigations into both FIRs are currently underway and the company is awaiting the findings. Separately, the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) has issued a notice highlighting certain process-related compliance observations at the Valia facility. The company said it has responded to the regulator and submitted an action plan to address the observations and resolve the issues conclusively.

The diversified chemicals-to-consumer goods group clarified that the matters do not cross the materiality threshold prescribed under Regulation 30(4) of SEBI’s listing regulations and do not have any material impact on its operations or performance.

The company said the disclosure was being made proactively to ensure that stakeholders receive accurate information directly from the company, rather than through market speculation or third-party reports.
