New Delhi: GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd on Friday said it has received a GST demand order of about ₹52.5 lakh from the Bihar Central GST authorities for the financial year 2021-22, according to a regulatory filing.

The order, dated November 11, 2025, has been issued by the Assistant Commissioner, CGST & Central Excise, Patna Central Division. The total demand comprises tax of ₹47.75 lakh and a penalty of ₹4.78 lakh, with no interest component mentioned in the order.
The demand has been raised in connection with alleged mismatches between the company’s GST returns and the details reported by its suppliers, resulting in issues related to input tax credit claims, the filing said.
GSK Pharma said it received the order on December 12, 2025, and is currently evaluating the demand. The company added that the matter is not expected to have any material impact on its financial or operational performance and that it will take appropriate action in due course.
