New Delhi/Gurugram: Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Sunday reported its best-ever monthly performance in the domestic market, with January 2026 sales rising 9.5% year-on-year to 59,107 units, even as strong exports lifted total volumes to a record 73,137 units.

In a stock exchange filing, the company said overall sales, including exports, grew 11.5% year-on-year during the month, while overseas shipments jumped 20.9% to 14,030 units, underscoring sustained demand for its models in global markets.
Key models drove the milestone performance, with the Venue clocking 12,413 units and the Aura posting 7,978 units—both marking their highest-ever monthly sales, according to the company.
Commenting on the numbers, HMIL Managing Director and CEO Tarun Garg said January 2026 marked a “defining chapter” for the company, reflecting the strength of the brand, its distribution network and customer demand. He added that the sharp rise in exports highlighted the growing acceptance of Hyundai vehicles in overseas markets.
The record showing comes at a time when the domestic passenger vehicle market is seeing steady demand across segments, with automakers leaning on new launches, exports and popular compact SUVs and sedans to sustain growth momentum into the new year.
