Indian Carriers Airplane Booking Tends to Increase: Can Order 380 More Planes

Indian Carriers can order 380 more planes by March next year. The current order numbers are 1618 planes. However, the increasing demand and air traffic can lead to ordering an additional 380 planes. The companies like Akasa Air, IndiGo, and Air India are increasing their orders. It tends to rise further in the upcoming years. The number of orders is currently at 1620 aircraft. It includes 150 narrow-body Boeing as well. However, the order is expected to reach 2,000 planes by the end of March 2025. 

The Indian Carriers tend to increase the number of orders for the planes. It currently stands at 1620 planes. The CAPA India’s predictions reveal the numbers to rise to 2,000 planes. The Indian careers may have 380 more planes for further expansion overseas. The airlines will try to cover more flights to more countries. However, the additional 380 planes will have coverage in both domestic market and international markets. The setup of more airports will demand more planes in the country. 

The current orders are from the operators like Air India and IndiGo. However, the orders from Go First and Spice Jet are excluded from these numbers. Go First was an airline that went bankrupt. IndiGo has the most planes in the order counting 1,000 planes. The Go First’s planes are yet to count in the order. The company ordered 72 planes. However, it has been un-operational since May. Indian airlines’ fleet size is 730. It expects to reach 1500 to 2000 by 2030 as per Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
