New Delhi: InterGlobe Aviation Ltd on Tuesday said IndiGo has fully stabilised its flight operations and is prepared to handle the surge in passenger demand during the ongoing holiday season, following recent weather-led disruptions across northern India.

In a regulatory filing accompanied by a press statement, the airline said it has been operating around 2,100–2,200 flights daily and carrying more than one million customers every three days since December 9, while maintaining on-time performance standards across its network .

The airline said it is currently flying to and from all 138 operational destinations in its domestic and international network. The aviation sector had witnessed industry-wide disruptions in recent days due to dense fog conditions, particularly in northern India, impacting flight schedules across carriers. IndiGo said it managed operations effectively under the circumstances to ensure stability.
“With forecasts pointing to a harsher winter ahead, we remain focused on ensuring reliability and minimising disruptions across our network to reduce inconvenience to customers,” the airline said in its statement.
Looking ahead, IndiGo said it is preparing to induct India’s first Airbus A321XLR aircraft, which is expected to expand its medium- to long-haul capabilities. The airline plans to deploy the aircraft to launch direct services connecting Delhi and Mumbai with Athens from January 23, 2026, as previously announced.
The airline also said it is evaluating additional domestic and international destinations in line with its fleet expansion plans and will share further updates in due course.
IndiGo is India’s largest airline by market share and has been steadily adding capacity within government guidelines as air travel demand remains strong during the festive and holiday season.
