New Delhi: Infosys on Tuesday said it has expanded its collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help enterprises accelerate the adoption of generative artificial intelligence, as global companies step up investments in AI-led digital transformation.

In a press release, the IT services major said the initiative will bring together Infosys Topaz, its AI-first set of services and platforms, with Amazon Q Developer, AWS’s generative AI-powered assistant, to improve productivity, automate software development processes and deliver new-age digital solutions for clients across sectors such as manufacturing, telecom, financial services and consumer goods.
As part of the collaboration, Infosys will integrate generative AI deeper into its internal operations, including software development, human resources, recruitment, sales and vendor management. In the software development lifecycle, the combined use of Infosys Topaz and Amazon Q Developer will enable automated documentation, code generation, debugging, testing and legacy modernisation, helping reduce timelines and improve accuracy, the company said.
Infosys is also leveraging AWS’s generative AI services, including Amazon Bedrock, to build advanced solutions for clients. These include real-time, personalised engagement platforms for sectors such as sports and entertainment, aimed at enhancing customer experience at scale.
“Infosys is setting a new benchmark for enterprise transformation through the strategic adoption of generative AI at scale,” said Sandeep Dutta, president, AWS India and South Asia. He added that the combined strengths of Amazon Q and Infosys Topaz would help organisations improve agility and unlock differentiated value.
Balakrishna D R, executive vice-president and global services head for AI and industry verticals at Infosys, said the partnership is reshaping how enterprise value is created by embedding AI across critical business functions. He added that the collaboration aims to build an AI-first ecosystem to help enterprises navigate their next phase of transformation.
The move comes as global IT services companies increasingly partner with hyperscalers to scale up generative AI offerings, even as clients seek faster returns from technology investments amid uncertain macroeconomic conditions.
