MapMyIndia puts allegations that Ola Electric has stolen their data to create maps for Ola Electric. The discussions started when Ola Electric launched its mapping service. The company introduces its maps to reduce dependability on other platforms. However, it used MapMyIndia’s API for the development of its maps. OLA Electric and MapMyIndia came into the deal in 2022 to help Ola Electric’s S1 Pro Electric scooter for navigation. However, the company violated the rules and regulations of the licensing policy. It used the company’s API and SDK for creating its navigation which was against the company’s policies. They were not allowed to use the company’s API.

MapMyIndia sent a legal notice to the company for violation of the policies. They claim that the company used their data which was not allowed in the policy. Thus, they want strict action against it.
