Under the memorandum of understanding (MoU), customers will be able to access routine maintenance, minor repairs and even select major services at these fuel station-based service points. The initiative is expected to complement Maruti Suzuki’s existing service infrastructure, which spans over 5,780 service touchpoints across 2,882 cities, one of the widest automotive service networks in the country.

Maruti Suzuki said the collaboration leverages IOCL’s extensive reach, with Indian Oil operating a network of more than 41,000 fuel stations nationwide, allowing car servicing facilities to be located at places frequently visited by vehicle owners. The company did not disclose the number of outlets to be covered in the initial phase, indicating that the rollout will be carried out in stages.

“Our goal is to make car servicing as easy and convenient as possible for our customers,” said Ram Suresh Akella, executive officer (service), Maruti Suzuki India. “By partnering with Indian Oil, we will leverage their unmatched reach to take our after-sales service to high-footfall locations, enhancing accessibility and peace of mind in the ownership journey,” he added.

From IOCL’s perspective, the tie-up aligns with its strategy of turning fuel stations into integrated mobility and service hubs. Saumitra P. Srivastava, director (marketing), IOCL, said the partnership would help bring world-class automotive maintenance closer to consumers while enhancing the overall value proposition at Indian Oil fuel outlets.

Maruti Suzuki said services offered at each touchpoint may vary, and customers will be advised to check availability in advance. The company expects the initiative to improve service accessibility, especially in semi-urban and highway locations, reinforcing its leadership in after-sales support in India’s passenger vehicle market.
