According to a statement issued by the Press Information Bureau, the Roundtable brought together leading stakeholders from the global AI, technology and innovation ecosystem to deliberate on scaling AI responsibly, strengthening cross-border collaboration and unlocking growth opportunities.

Modi described the discussions as “insightful and forward-looking,” noting that deliberations centred on ensuring AI serves as a force multiplier for human progress while aligning with principles of sustainability.

“The CEO Roundtable at the AI Impact Summit brought together various stakeholders from the world of AI, technology and innovation. The discussions were insightful and forward-looking, focused on scaling AI responsibly, strengthening global collaboration and unlocking opportunities for growth,” the Prime Minister said in a post on X.

The Prime Minister further said it was “heartening” to witness a shared global commitment to harnessing AI for human progress and sustainable development.

The remarks come at a time when countries are increasingly focusing on governance frameworks, ethical guardrails and public-private partnerships to manage the rapid deployment of generative AI and advanced automation tools. India has been positioning itself as a key stakeholder in shaping global AI norms, balancing innovation with safeguards around data security, bias mitigation and equitable access.

Policy watchers say the emphasis on responsible scaling signals India’s intent to align technological advancement with developmental priorities, particularly in sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, education and digital public infrastructure.

The AI Impact Summit discussions are expected to feed into broader international consultations on AI governance, with industry leaders and policymakers exploring frameworks that can foster innovation without compromising accountability.
