Over the past decade, NLDSL has developed and operated standards-based platforms that facilitate data exchange across the logistics value chain, supporting transparency and data-led decision-making in line with the National Logistics Policy. The company functions as the logistics digital and data arm of the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) and is a joint venture between the government and Japan’s NEC Corporation.

Two flagship platforms anchor NLDSL’s footprint. The Logistics Data Bank (LDB), a single-window container visualisation system, now covers 100% of India’s EXIM container volume and is operational across all container-handling port terminals. Since its launch in 2016, LDB has tracked more than 91 million EXIM containers, enabling real-time visibility through container numbers and helping cut dwell times.

The Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP), developed under the National Logistics Policy, enables secure, standardised API-based data exchange between government systems and industry participants. ULIP has integrated 44 systems across 11 ministries, offers access to 136 APIs covering over 2,000 data fields, and has recorded more than 225 crore API transactions, underscoring its growing role as the backbone for logistics data interoperability.

Beyond LDB and ULIP, NLDSL has built and supported solutions such as Track Your Transport, Transport Management System and Koyla Shakti—India’s smart coal analytics dashboard—used by government agencies to monitor logistics and supply-chain operations.

“As NLDSL enters its next decade, the organisation will remain focused on strengthening digital foundations aimed at enhancing infrastructure, connectivity and overall supply-chain efficiency, aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047,” NLDSL chairman Rajat Kumar Saini said at the foundation day event.
