Aditya Birla Group is now in the paint industry. The chairperson Kumar Mangalam has launched the paint brand ‘Opus Paints’. He launched this brand with a positive outlook and stated that ‘it is just looking like a wow’. He also emphasized that it will also contribute good value in the construction sector. The event took place in Panipat, Ludhiana, and Cheyyar. There were so many things Birla stated during this launch of Opus Paints.

Kumar Mangalam has highlighted the rising consumption and potential growth in the paint sector which may get good growth in the future. This projected growth is based on the rise in the population and massive growth in the real estate sector which will directly encourage the potential of the paint sector.

He announced that Opus Paint is coming up with a plan to increase capacity by 500 million liters yearly from the next phase. During the launch and announcement of the Opus Paints, Birla seemed confident about the growth in the paint business in the future. Currently, India has around 3.5 kg consumption per capita while on the other side, the global average consumption is 10 kg. Through this paint brand, ‘Opus Paints’ company is planning to bring 145 products with six categories and supply through a formidable network of 6,000 towns.

Birla has highlighted in the statement that they have enrolled over 30,000 painters and contractors before the official launch of the brand. Currently, they are setting up galleries across 300 towns.
