SESSION 1: How To Manage the Funds & Expenses
SPEAKER – MR. ANKIT GOEL | DEEP POLYCHEM
Mr. Ankit Goel delivered a powerful reality check on what profit means. Using the case of AMEL Paints, he showed how a ₹1 crore accounting profit was misleading—once the hidden costs of prime real estate, the founder’s lost salary, and capital investment returns were factored in, the true profit dropped sharply. With a Return on Equity of just 7.5%, the business was underperforming despite its apparent success. He urged entrepreneurs to look beyond topline figures and focus on cost ratios, working capital efficiency, and timing of expenses. He warned against pouring money into untested products and stressed the importance of phased launches and smart inventory planning. Cash flow, he emphasized, is the true measure of business health. His closing line summed it up best: “Cash flow is reality, profit is sanity, revenue is vanity.”
SESSION 2: Understanding the Untapped Potential of SME Listing in India’s Capital Market
SPEAKER – MR. GAGANDEEP SINGH | Co-Partners at Leela Fincare
Over the past decade, one truth has become clear: India’s SMEs hold immense potential to grow, raise capital, and build lasting legacies—yet most remain unaware of the SME listing platforms created precisely for them. Since 2012, over 1,200 companies have listed on NSE Emerge and BSE SME, designed to help smaller businesses access public capital without losing control. Still, many promoters hesitate, fearing compliance and overlooking the strategic advantages of transparency, profitability, and institutional structure. Listing isn’t just about funding—it’s about visibility, credibility, and future-readiness. With eligibility as simple as a 3-year track record and positive profits, listing can professionalize your business, attract talent, and even re-inspire the next generation. In a booming economy like India’s, this platform is a missed opportunity for most, yet a game-changer for those who embrace it. As a promoter, you hold the power to create wealth and impact far beyond balance sheets. The capital market is here not to take from you, but to empower your vision.

He also advocated for a Paint Association-run common R&D lab to support MSMEs. Mrs. Pooja pointed out the lack of developmental support from larger firms and shared her company’s progress in safer, greener spray paint technologies like air-powered, low-VOC aerosols.
