Accordingly, the following Order further amends certain Quality Control Orders on specific chemicals made in the exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016). To identify products for which quality control orders (QCOs) could be issued, the Central Government collaborated with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and the relevant stakeholders. The BIS quality certification mark must be visible on a product that receives a QCO.
