The Rajkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has been appointed as a key member of this facilitation council. Previously industry players had to travel to Gandhinagar, the state’s capital  to file cases related to payment disputes. However, thanks to the persistent efforts of RCCI, Rajkot will now host its own facilitation council greatly reducing the burden on local businesses.

Rajkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Taken Step to Facilitate Small Businesses

The council will be led by the Rajkot additional collector who will serve as its chairman. Complementing RCCI’s involvement –  the council will also include the district government pleader and other representatives from the local industry. Tmsmehis collaborative effort aims to provide a more accessible platform for businesses in Rajkot and surrounding districts, including Devbhumi Dwarka, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Kutch, Morbi and Porbandar, to address payment delay issues efficiently.

The establishment of this MSME facilitation council is expected to have a positive impact on the ease of doing business in the region. By reducing the need for entrepreneurs and business owners to travel long distances to resolve payment disputes and it will save time and resources while promoting a more conducive environment for economic growth.

This move underscores the government’s commitment to supporting the MSME sector which plays a vital role in the country’s economic development. It demonstrates a proactive approach to addressing challenges faced by small and medium sized enterprises and further enhances Gujarat’s reputation as a business friendly state.
