New Delhi: New Delhi-based Shalimar Paints Ltd on Thursday said its board has approved the re-appointment of Shan Jain as an independent director for a second term of three years, subject to shareholder approval, as part of its ongoing focus on board stability and governance.

In a regulatory filing, the company said Jain’s second term will run from February 13, 2026 to February 12, 2029, and her office will not be liable to retire by rotation. The decision was approved through a circular resolution passed by the board on January 2, 2026.
Jain brings over three decades of experience in marketing, brand strategy and business transformation, having worked with large consumer and industrial brands across FMCG, manufacturing, construction and retail sectors. She is currently the founder of brand advisory firm Bridge to Ocean 29 and also serves on the boards of Infra.Market and Carrier Air Conditioning.
Shalimar Paints said her continued presence on the board is expected to strengthen strategic decision-making, particularly in areas such as brand positioning, marketing efficiency and consumer engagement, at a time when paint makers are facing heightened competition and rising input-cost pressures.
The company added that Jain is not related to any other director and is not debarred from holding the office of director by any regulatory authority, in compliance with SEBI norms.
