The hackers stated that the chief information security officer (CISO) sold the customers’ data for $28,000. However, they later demanded $150,000 for the same data. It indicates the money-minded motives of the people working in the system.
This data was also available on Telegram. Two Telegram bots shared this data while one source shows the leaked data in PDF format. Others have shown customer information in detail. However, those two Telegram bots have been removed. However, Star Health has not publicly accepted its involvement in the data breach.
Star Health says they are working on investing the person involved in the leak. A forensic investigation is underway. The Madras High Court is also supporting the case. Star Health is ensuring the security of data. Thus, no one will be able to access the leaked data anymore. This isn’t the only case of a company data breach.
