Zudio is growing its stores at a faster pace in affordable fashion challenging Ambanis. If we talk about fashion at a cheaper price, then Zudio by Trent Limited is a new choice for the youth. The company is providing the fashion that hits the current trends at a cheaper price than the market. Thus, it attracts more customers in less time. Zudio had only 80 stores in India four years ago. However, it now has more than 560 in 164 cities.

Tata's Zudio Triples Its Growth Challenging Ambanis In The Affordable Fashion

Will Ambani Take Shein’s Help To Excel In The Affordable Fashion?

Ambani expects to take the help of Shein in excelling affordably. Even after Reliance put more than $2 Billion in retailing, Tata seems to be excelling in the field. If we see in the previous few years, Tata’s Trent Limited’s sales rose three times after the pandemic. Apart from that, the net profit also saw a rise of 12%. Thus, it indicates positive growth for the company. Zudio is putting its money into further expansion. As the company targets areas with affordable rent and quick inventory, it can maintain high profitability with low margins.

On the other hand, the Ambanis have also been trying their hand at retailing for a long time. Reliance Industries already invested more than $2 Billion. However, it is not the first time. Reliance also raised $6 Billion in the Covid times. It is now planning to take the help of Shein to enter the affordable fast-fashion market. The company is the world’s largest web-only fashion brand. It was banned after the Indian government banned some Chinese applications including the famous video platform TikTok.

As the application is banned in India, Shein will not directly run the operations in the country. It will take help from the company that Reliance Retail owns. In return, Shein will be paying a license fee as its profit share. As it is a matter of privacy concerns, Shein will not have access to the sensitive data of the consumers. The company hosting Shein will be storing the data on Indian servers. Thus, Tata’s Trent Limited and Myntra will be the top competitors of Shein in case the collaboration between Reliance and Shein takes place successfully.

Reliance Industries and Shein’s collaboration will be helpful for both. As Reliance Industries will get the chance to tap into the market, Shein will also get another chance to launch in the Indian market. It will be interesting to see whether the company will be able to compete with the growing market with Zudio and Myntra.
