TVS Motor January sales climb 29% to 5.12 lakh units, EV volumes surge 50%

 Mumbai: TVS Motor Company on Saturday reported a 29% year-on-year increase in total sales for January 2026 to 511,766 units, aided by strong growth across two-wheelers, electric vehicles and exports.

In a regulatory filing, the company said total two-wheeler sales rose 28% to 494,195 units, while domestic two-wheeler volumes grew 30% to 383,262 units during the month. Motorcycle sales climbed 26% to 219,188 units and scooter volumes were up 30% at 222,926 units.Electric vehicle sales outpaced the broader portfolio, jumping 50% year-on-year to 37,756 units in January, highlighting the company’s accelerating push in the e-mobility segment.Exports also posted healthy gains, with total overseas shipments rising 21% to 122,343 units. Two-wheeler exports increased 18% to 110,933 units, reflecting steady demand in key international markets.The three-wheeler business delivered the sharpest growth, with volumes surging 77% to 17,571 units compared with the year-ago period, the company said.Overall, the January performance points to broad-based momentum for TVS Motor across domestic and export markets, with EVs and three-wheelers emerging as key growth drivers even as core motorcycle and scooter segments continue to expand.
