Union Govt likely to Approve two Metro Phase 3 Corridors in Bengaluru Before Lok Sabha Elections

Karnataka Govt has approved the Namma Metro two phase 3 corridor in November 2022. The distance of this project is 44.6 km. JP Nagar 4th Phase-Kempapura with a distance of 32.1 km. The third phase is the Hosahalli-Kadabagere line along Magadi Road with a stretch of 12.5 km. The project has been pending the approval from Union Government since 2022.

These Metro Phase Corridors will help to reduce the traffic if people consider using the metro instead of traveling by road. Also, it will be a time saving for the corporate people to avoid unwanted time wastage due to massive traffic jams at office timings.

There are some experts are saying that approving this Bengaluru Metro Phase 3 Corridors will help BJP to gain electoral benefits ahead of Lok Sabha Polls and attract voters from IT Hub. The project has been pending since 2022 and now it is likely to be started soon once getting the green signal from the Central government.

On February 9, during the 65th meeting of the Network Planning Group (NPG) two urban transit metro corridor projects were discussed that was Bengaluru Metro’s Phase 3 corridors and Delhi Metro’s Rithala-Bawana-Narela–Kundli (Haryana) Metro corridor.
