The US Embassy is going to add up to 2,50,000 new visa appointment opportunities. It includes all Indian tourists, students, and workers. The country is giving a lot of new applicants a chance to apply for their visa approval for another time. The number of people moving to the United States from India is increasing over the days. Till now, more than 10 lakh non-immigrant visa applications passed. The US embassy in New Delhi gives out data about Indian travellers to the USA increased to 12 Lakhs.
Why US Embassy Opening New Indian Visa Appointments?
The US Embassy is going to open the new slots for the Indian visa appointments. Thus, the new applicants will get the opportunity to give interviews and be shortlisted. The number of Indians moving to the US has increased for the second year. The summer season usually gives a lot of visa openings for new students. Almost all first-time students received an appointment in the current summer season. More than 12 lakh students were able to get the visa in 2024. According to the data, it is a 35% increase in visa appointments.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Joe Biden are working on strengthening the countries’ bonds. Thus, both countries are making strong connections together. The Indian students have the biggest percentage of moving to America for higher studies. Apart from the US, the other three most famous countries that Indians choose for studies are Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Not only America, but Australia is also going to offer more than 1,000 work opportunities and holiday visas to Indians.
The opportunities will come from 1 October 2024 under the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement. It is an agreement between India and Australia under which any Indian nationality student between the ages of 18-30 years will be able to work in Australia for one year on a work visa, go to study for a year, or travel to Australia. The countries having more students from India are also putting efforts to strengthen the ties between the countries.
The graduation courses in these countries are becoming more accessible to several Indian families.
