Wipro Marks 25 Years on NYSE, Rings Closing Bell to Launch ‘Wipro Intelligence™’

Wipro Limited, one of India’s leading global technology and consulting companies, marked a major milestone as it completed 25 years of listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). To commemorate the occasion, the company’s leadership team, led by Executive Chairman Rishad Premji and CEO Srini Pallia, was invited to ring The Closing Bell® at NYSE on October 31, 2025.

The event also coincides with the launch of Wipro Intelligence™, the company’s unified suite of AI-powered platforms, tools, and solutions aimed at helping enterprises navigate the new era of intelligent transformation. The suite integrates artificial intelligence across consulting, operations, and engineering services, reflecting Wipro’s strategic shift toward becoming an AI-first technology organization.

In his remarks, Rishad Premji described the milestone as “a celebration of Wipro’s journey of resilience and reinvention,” recalling how the company evolved from a small vegetable oil business in rural Maharashtra in 1945 to a global tech enterprise operating across 65 countries. He emphasized that Wipro’s 80-year legacy is built on integrity, purpose, and people-first values.

CEO Srini Pallia highlighted that Wipro’s NYSE anniversary represents not just longevity, but adaptability through multiple waves of technology transformation — from mainframes and personal computing to the internet, cloud, and now artificial intelligence. “Wipro Intelligence is the next step in our evolution,” Pallia said, describing it as a platform designed to “empower global enterprises to reimagine their businesses through data-driven intelligence.”

The NYSE ceremony was broadcast live, showcasing the company’s leadership standing alongside the iconic Wipro logo on Wall Street — a symbolic moment reflecting India’s growing prominence in the global digital economy.

Over the past 25 years, Wipro’s listing on the NYSE has played a key role in establishing investor confidence in Indian IT companies abroad. Today, Wipro continues to focus on AI, automation, and sustainability, with a strong emphasis on purpose-driven growth. The company has also earned several accolades in 2025 for innovation, workplace excellence, and social responsibility, and Founder Chairman Azim Premji was named to the TIME100 Philanthropy List for his global impact on education and giving.

By celebrating its journey in New York, Wipro sends a clear signal — that Indian technology companies are not only exporting digital talent but also leading global conversations around AI ethics, innovation, and inclusive growth.
