Zeron – a firm specializing in cyber risk posture management has successfully secured $500,000 in seed funding from Varanium Capital, a fintech-focused fund, along with support from Yatra Angel Network. These funds will be allocated towards research and development efforts as well as the expansion of their global presence.

Zeron which is led by founder Sanket Sarkar offers advanced solutions for organizations seeking to bolster their cybersecurity defenses. Leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) the company empowers clients to make informed decisions, effectively addressing the challenges in the cybersecurity landscape. Some of their prominent clients include Affin Bank, NTUC, Aditya Birla Capital and Bank Open. Currently, Zeron operates in various countries including Indonesia, Canada, Singapore, the UK and the Philippines.

Notably earlier in the year, the startup secured funding from early-stage investors such as 100X.VC and angel investors like Anoop Mathur (AM Capital) and K.R.S. Jamwal (Tata Industries).

In the broader context of the fintech investment landscape, Varanium NexGen as the lead investor focuses on supporting fintech startups with early revenue streams. They have previously invested in fintech ventures like EaseBuzz, Riskcovry, GetVantage, Homeville, DataSutram and FinVu.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that in May, another cybersecurity startup named SquareX successfully raised $6 million in a seed funding round with Peak XV Partners taking the lead as the investor.
