In a regulatory filing under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, the company said it is currently assessing the quantum of loss arising from the lockout and is closely monitoring the situation.

The company estimated that the disruption could result in a loss of cement production of about 10,000 tonnes per day, based on current operating levels. Shree Cement added that all assets at the affected plant are covered by insurance, though the financial impact is yet to be fully quantified.

The lockout affects the company’s cement manufacturing facility located at Baloda Bazar in Raipur district, Chhattisgarh. The management said the decision was taken due to continued non-cooperation from workers at the unit, without providing further details on the nature of the labour dispute.

Shree Cement said it will update the exchanges on further developments in due course, in line with disclosure requirements. The development comes at a time when cement producers are navigating operational challenges amid demand fluctuations and cost pressures, making prolonged disruptions a potential risk to supply and earnings if the situation  persists.
