PM Modi Inaugurates New Railway Bridge
PM Modi will inaugurate the new Railway Bridge on Tuesday. This highest railway bridge will be constructed over the river Chenab. It will have a height of 359 m connecting Bakkal and Kauri Villages. If we look over the map, it will fall in the Reasi district of Jammu. The construction of this bridge will help the passengers to travel easily from Katra to Kashmir Valley. Due to hilly areas and extreme slopes, it usually took 5 hours to travel this distance. However, it will reduce with this new railway bridge.
The bridge will cover 1.3 km. It is said to be the highest railway bridge as its height is 359m which is more than the Eiffel Tower itself, which is 330 m to tip. Apart from that, there will be an electric train as well that will come in service connecting the Sangaldan station from Baramulla Station. These areas in Jammu and Kashmir had a lack of infrastructure and transport facilities as well. However, this will contribute largely to the development of the area.
As we mentioned above, the government will also focus on the construction of AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), which will be a great medical aid for the UT. Apart from railways and medical, the government will also focus on the construction of additional terminals at Jammu Airport. It will be an advantage for the UT to attract more tourists to the place.
