New Delhi: InterGlobe Aviation Ltd, parent of IndiGo, on Tuesday said it has received a notice from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) directing the airline to reduce its domestic winter schedule for 2025 by 10% across all sectors.

The notice, dated December 9, comes amid heightened regulatory scrutiny following days of widespread operational disruptions that affected flight schedules and baggage handling across IndiGo’s network. While the filing does not mention the reason behind the DGCA’s latest directive, the move signals a tightening of oversight as the carrier works to stabilise operations.
The schedule cut will apply to IndiGo’s published winter plan across the Indian domestic market, requiring adjustments to frequencies and capacity deployment. The airline did not specify which routes or sectors would see reductions.
IndiGo said the communication has been disclosed under SEBI’s listing rules and taken on record by the comp any.
