DIC India Inauguration: A subsidiary of the DIC group, Global Leaders in printing and packaging Inks, has opened its cutting-edge, toluene-free plant for liquid ink manufacturing called “Optima” at Saykha in the Bharuch district of Gujarat. This plant is the nation’s leading manufacturer of printing inks, cutting-edge packaging solutions, and allied materials. The plant, which covers 92,500 square meters and can produce more than 10,000 tons of TF, KF, and NTNK (toluene- and ketone-free) liquid inks in two shifts during phase I, will be expanded to produce specialty and value-added products for domestic and international markets. DIC India Inauguration of its 5th Plant In India
To meet the country’s growing demand for toluene- and ketone-free based inks, the new plant will be built with a total investment of INR 1100 million for phase I. It will employ over 100 associates directly. Thanks to this new plant, DIC India will now have a more significant presence in India. The company benefits from proximity to the Northern and Western markets, which account for the majority of demand in the sector, thanks to its strategic location at the heart of India’s chemical hub. The bulk line manufacturing facility at the plant is used to supply standard and specialty TF, KF, and NTNK inks.
Built with care, the plant called the OPTIMA plant is loaded down with the furthest down-the-line mechanical highlights to take care of the developing interest in the country as of now. To modernize and improve production efficiencies, the new plant setup has been constructed with cutting-edge technological features. For DIC India, this plant is completely free of Toluene. Phase 1 has already completed 45,000 of the plant’s 92,500 square feet. The area will be used to consolidate DIC Indian Operations’ various plants and product categories.
The site is currently undergoing green certification by DIC. Probably the first plant in India to receive this accreditation will be this one. The plant, called Optima, produced TF and KF goods that also adhere to international regulations. After production at the Optima plant has stabilized, the company intends to obtain ISO and OSHAS certification by 2023-2034. The plant will help our clients adhere to sustainability standards.
